Miriam helped her mother hide baby Moses for three months and when they could no longer hide him, they put the child in a basket and placed it among the reeds by the bank of the Nile. When Miriam was 7 years old, her mother gave birth to Moses after Pharaoh had given orders to kill every newborn Israelite boy.
